Why Spain

The moves we make to Spain

Spain is a firm favourite out of Luton, and people head there for all sorts of reasons. Whichever one is yours, the moving side works the same careful way.

Retiring to the sun

Downsizing the family home in Luton for a place on the Costa Blanca or the Costa del Sol — one of the moves we do most.

A fresh start

Couples and families relocating for the pace of life, the weather and the outdoor days that come with the coast.

Work and study

Jobs and courses in Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia, where city access and lift bookings need planning in advance.

Island living

A move to Mallorca, Menorca or Ibiza, with the ferry leg from the mainland built into the route.

The route

From Luton, down through France and into Spain

We load in Luton and pick up the M1 at Junction 10 or 11, round the M25 and head for the Channel. From the crossing it is south through France and over the border into Spain, then onto the Spanish motorways for the final leg. For the islands, a ferry from the Spanish coast finishes the journey.

Where we deliver most:

  • Costa Blanca — Alicante and the towns along the coast.
  • Costa del Sol — Málaga, Marbella and the south.
  • Barcelona & Catalonia — city apartments and coastal towns.
  • Madrid — the capital, with city-centre access planned in.
  • Valencia — the east coast and its hinterland.
  • The Balearics — Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza via the ferry leg.

On the Spain route

What's covered on a Luton-to-Spain move

  • The long road, planned properly

Down through France and into Spain — a serious drive we route carefully so your belongings travel safely and arrive together.

  • Export wrap that lasts the distance

Furniture padded, fragile items double-boxed and the load secured for hundreds of miles of motorway, not a short hop.

  • Spanish customs paperwork

Declarations and the valued inventory prepared with you, with Transfer of Residence relief applied for where you qualify.

  • Ferry leg for the Balearics

Heading to Mallorca, Menorca or Ibiza? We arrange the sea crossing from the Spanish coast as part of the move.

  • Part-load or dedicated van

Share the space on a vehicle already Spain-bound, or take a van of your own for a direct run. We advise on which suits you.

Since Brexit

Moving personal belongings to Spain after Brexit

The rules changed after Brexit, and it is worth being straight about it. Bringing your things into Spain now means a customs declaration and a detailed, valued inventory of everything in the load. If Spain is becoming your main home and you meet the conditions, Transfer of Residence relief usually lets your used personal belongings in without duty. We prepare the declarations and the inventory with you and apply for the relief where you qualify — so your move is not held at the border over a form.

We also start most Spain moves from Luton, but we collect from across the wider area and the rest of the UK too. Tell us where the pickup is and we route around it.

Luton to Spain

Common questions

How does moving to Spain from the UK actually work?

We survey what is going, load in Luton, and drive down through France into Spain. Your belongings are wrapped for the long road, and we handle the customs paperwork on the way. At the far end we carry in and place everything. You get a written quote with an estimated window up front, so there are no surprises.

What about moving personal belongings to Spain after Brexit?

Moving personal belongings to Spain after Brexit means a customs declaration and a detailed, valued inventory of what you are bringing. If Spain is becoming your main home and you meet the conditions, Transfer of Residence relief usually lets your used household goods in without duty. We prepare the paperwork with you so it is done correctly.

Can you deliver to the Balearic Islands?

Yes. Mainland Spain is a straight road run; the Balearics — Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza — add a ferry leg from the Spanish coast. We build that crossing into the plan and the quote, so an island move is handled end to end just like a mainland one.

Do you cover both the costas and the cities?

We do. The Costa Blanca around Alicante and the Costa del Sol around Málaga and Marbella are our busiest destinations, but we deliver to Barcelona and Catalonia, Madrid and Valencia just as often. Wherever in Spain you are heading, we route to it.
